Any one know of a hard case that will fit the Short Scale Squirer Bass. Had mine for a couple of months and hadn't been able to locate one. I tried my Fender Precision case and its a no go.

Thanks.

Having three short scales myself I know exactly what you mean, very tough to find cases for them.

I did buy a short scale from www.rondomusic.com and that fit my Squier Musicmaster, check there maybe and confirm the measurements again.

If not there than Evil bay I guess 8)

This may work, but the reviews are bad.

I hope that works, let me know what the quality is on it. I've tried to order one twice when I had the extra $$ but they were out of stock both times. Really need one since I have a gig bag for one of my basses yet.

Got the case from Rondo Music and it fits the Jaguar SS Bass perfectly. Very sturdy and a steel @ $49.

I have more trouble getting short scale strings.

Otherwise the low E is too long and doesn't wind on the post properly.

That's cool, glad it worked.

I don't even bother because of availability, I just buy regular length, figure I'm cutting it anyway.

The problem is if I just cut it short enough I just get the full wrap of the string and it doesn't fit in the post. I once flattened the E string and it fit--but it didn't wrap well.

I'll keep the old strings on until I can find short scale.

But I'll probably start buying them online.

They must work for me because I use pretty light gauge bass strings. Fit the post in all 3 of my basses, the SX/Squier/Fender. .45 - .95 I believe it is.
