On my 2001 Pbass my ground came off of the pot. I was wondering if anyone had a diagram of the wiring so we could check everything to make sure it all gets back on correctly. Thanks for any help!

You can also go to my site's do it yourself setup and maintenance page where you can find diagrams like this one:

I'd substitute a 0.05 cap for the 0.1 one in the above diagram. It will sound brighter.

It's still not making any noise at all and i know we soldered the pickup right. I think we might have messed up some other wires I'll check the diagram and try to fix it.

The one I posted is very much the same as the Fender 62 Reissue one here:
http://support.fender.com/service_diagrams/bass_guitars/019-0116C_SISD.pdf

That is a real simple diagram too, but again the .05uf cap is usually a better choice with a modern pickup than the .1uf.

When you hear the brightness of the Fender Original Vintage P-Bass pickup you'll understand why they used a .1uf with it. HOWEVER I still use a .05uf with it! Awesome and upfront tone!
