Greetings Squire Bass Owners! I was just wondering if you played through Fender Bass Amplification or some other amp. Please don't be offended If I left your amp off the poll as only 10 options are allowed.

I play my basses Fender/Squier/SX into my Line 6 Lowdown 300w.

Nothing at all against Fender amps, just played through this and loved what I could get for sound, PLUS, I have a Line 6 guitar amp and this way I can use my floorboard pedal with either one.

I voted Peavey since I use 2 240s and 2 260s most often. But I also use Kustom, Sound City, Ashdown, Traynor, Ampeg and Fender depending on where we're practicing/gigging or how I'm feeling.

Some very interesting responses to be sure, but more is better! There are some surprises, as in gunny's thousand dollar tweed TV Bassman 15. I'd like to see this poll keep going, so if you own a Squire bass please vote and post what amp you use.

I've been true to Ampeg since '89. I currently have an BA-115 that has a wonderful tone to it. That's my main gigging amp. I also have an SVT-140T. I started out with a Peavey Mark IV head with a Black Widow 2x15 cab back in '82. My buddy Dave still owns it, I sold it to him back when I got my first Ampeg.

Okay I need to buy a VERY inexpensive bass combo amp..do not ask what I have been using since I bought my Squier Vintage Modified ..anywho..the options I have found so far is Behringer BX108, Fender Rumble 15 and the Peavey Max 158..or if you have other suggestions in the $100 dollar range I would appreciate that as well.

Thank you in advance ..you all did so well suggesting the VM bass..I have total faith in you!..and anything is better than (gulp) the GA-10 POS I am using..which is not for a bass..haha because Im not blowing the speaker on my good Strat Amp!

OK Mona! I'd go with a Rumble 15. AVOID Behringer like the plague. I'm not a Peavey fan. If there is anyway you could afford the Rumble 30, I'd make that stretch. I think you'd be much happier with it. I have the Rumble 75, and I am very happy with it. :D

not all Behringer stuff is crap. I had a 350 Watt bass head and it was reliable and powerful. Sold it to a friend who was taking up bass and it's still going strong.
The smaller one referred to earlier in the thread wouldn't be my pick; nevertheless, don't paint all Behringer stuff as something to avoid. If it's low cost and dies you don't feel too bad, whereas expensive stuff that fails is a royal pain.
