I would like to replace the truss rod nut on my Vintage Modified Precision Bass® TB with a Bullet Truss rod nut. What size threads do I need to be looking for?
Thanks
ROB

I wanted to avoid taking the nut out till I get a new one, but I guess that is what I will have to do. :(

No don't do that now , until you can replace it or have a new one. Is the head too damaged to use the allen key or what ?

Myself I would ordered this tool from Stew Mac;

http://www.stewmac.com/tsarchive/ts0083.html

Or write an e-mail to fender consu,er relation
