Hi,
Noob here. I just got a squier jazz vintage modified sunburst bass this past week and would like to change the black pickguard to a tortoise shell. I ordered one from choppermusic off ebay and unfortunately it didn't fit. The screw holes actually matched up pretty well, but the boarder that wraps around the neck was grossly off.

Does anyone know where i can find a replacement for my squier that actually fits??

Thanks!

I think you will only find that squier pick guards will fit that bass. I believe fender ones wont quite match up to the squier. thats all i really can tell you.

I used this place, Jeannie Pickguards, and got a perfect fit replacement guard for my Black Squier Musicmaster bass, love it. Not bad prices IMO.

Here's a photo of the bass with the replacement guard on it. Good luck!

It's easy - at least for the Jazz versions.

I did it and here's the pixs to prove it. I used the Tort version with the tug bar, p'ups cover and extra support screw holes in it. :::

The 'VEE' at the junction of the PG and the control panel has a sharper point on the Squiers and a real Fender geek will be able to see the difference from 40 paces.

Be sure to use Genuine Fender screws too - they are just slightly different enough to make a difference.
