Getting a bass this week I had a buddy pickup for me in another town. Craigslist. $80 P bass Big Fender little Squier series logo. Has the jazz pickup and is active. Says Active on headstock. Made in Korea 92-93 or so. White with black guard rosewood board. Missing battery hatch needs new battery clip and usual fine tuning. Pics Image

Upon close inspection the bridge was missing all the height grub screws (small metal plates were under saddles lol) and it took a magnifying glass to find the solder points for the battery clip but the active circuit works as it should. A new bridge is easier and $8.95 snags me a standard fender type bridge complete. Nut is 1.5" wide or should I say narrow.

This was an excellent find for two reasons. 1. It is an early Squier active. Not sure if it is the very first one but certainly an early one. 2. MIK! After USA and Japan then comes Korea in the Squier quality heraldry. I like the color combo and the fact it has full size tuners and the big Fender logo. In fact I'd say ones like have a shot at becoming collectible eventually. Those bridge height adjustment screws do get gone.
