Post subject: happy days! how do i date this

just recently picked up an abandoned squier jazz bass and cleaned it up but haven't a clue how to date it!! anyone got any tips? also i will upload pics if anyone fancies a peak at it.

I think its korean, i got it given free so it was half rubbed off, i'll get a serial later.
