wow you guys are really amazing I'm new to the bass stuff..

anyways do you have any ideas where I could get pre made tort / mirror pickguards that would retrofit Squier's Affinity? maybe with the additional thumbrest and pickup cover screws could be a plus.. :D

I've always used www.pickguard.com or www.wdmusic.com which are the same page btw
but someone else had chimed and he uses http://www.terrapinguitars.com/ and he swears by them. Good luck eyecandy!! :D

good for you.. I'd spent about 400 bucks on a new MIM..~ do u think its a good buy though?/

Im planning to get one Squier Affinity next well for backup.. n coz it does have alder wood.. and for fun project~

i have a squier bronco that i've refinished, and i ended up buying these:

although i had to drill the head stock a bit to get the posts to fit. dig the vintage style more. well worth the mod. plus the guitar was only $100.

i'm making it into a musicmaster with a hot rails in it. it's in progress at the moment, waiting on a white pearl guard.

doing string through (w/4 post bridge), and single volume pot (with hidden tone pot under guard). should be a beast.
