Looked at a bass marked "Squier Precision Bass". Has a split pickup and also a single pickup at the bridge. Which model is this?

Squier has a number of P-bass offerings. We'll need a much more concise description if we're to be of any help. At a guess, though, with the P/J pickup configuration you describe, it sounds like a Squier Standard Special Precision Bass, which they no longer make.
