Hmmm, no info on price yet, and both online retailers still have no results on their pages. :(

Oh, that's a good thought, maybe so.

The original Fender '64 Mustang Bass had a rosewood fretboard.

The Squier version resembles very much to a mid-to-late 1970s model:

I have two rosewood neck Musicmasters now so a maple neck Mustang would be very cool. These look really nice.

Hey Squier - if you make the Squier Vintage Modified Mustang again, people will buy them.

The P/J Mustang is selling like crazy, and there's a lot of people waiting for the
Fender JMJ Mustang.

But there are also a lot of people who would rather have a less expensive,
more traditional Mustang than the P/J.

Make hay while the sun shines - strike while the iron's hot,
and all of the rest of the cliche's.

That would be cool if they did. I'm more of a Squier person, myself. Probably because I can't afford $800 for a MIM Fender. :P Actually, I like them quite a bit. I just recently got a Vintage Modified Precision PJ Bass and I think it plays and sounds as good as a Japanese made 50's Reissue Precision Bass that I had back in the mid 90's.
