I don't see the point of getting a signature series then modding it...you get a sig for the sound the 'artist'. Any other I'd say go for it.

+1 to NOT modding...

don't get me wrong, i LOVE to mod my basses and guitars (and all my non-musical possesions too for that matter), but i'd rather start with something generic and make it my own. this is already Matt Freeman's bass, might as well just stay that way IMO.
