So I gave in to G.A.S. (gear acquisition syndrome) and snagged another Squier Musicmaster bass. I just couldn't resist, long story short, for $130 I just couldn't pass it up, only a gig bag included but you can't have everything right?

Now I have 3 MM Basses, 1 Fender and 2 Squiers. The new one needs some adjustment so I've already left a message with the local luthier. The actions is pretty high on it, unless anyone knows a good tutorial on adjusting the saddles on the bridge?

Just had to tell someone about my new Squier/Fender in the house :D

OK Zod, you're pulling the old "no pictures=it didn't happen thing" Forgot about that rule on here. So here is my black $130 Musicmaster that I just got this am, my $225 white MM that I got about a year ago, and my workhorse '78 Fender Musicmaster that I got in '96 for free, long story but I stuck about $250 into restoring it.

And in a true case of "it's a small world," the guy that originally painted my '78 blue for me is the same guy who I got the black one from today, he was selling it since his kid had it and didn't play it anymore.

Thanx for the link to the setup, but I'm not so sure I'm ready to go at my truss rod, sounds like you could really screw things up messing with that. And I don't have an allen wrench small enough for the saddle adjustment without a trip to the hardware store.

I'm already contemplating taking the gray pearl pickguard off the white bass and slap that on the black one, thought that would look like a sharp combo. Than for the white bass I may bet a red pearl or......? Still pondering that.

Thanx, I took that gray guard off the white one and put it on the black one, wow does that look nice.

Now what to do about the "universal urinal" white color of the white bass?

It was a good score. Turned out that the black one just played like a dream, found I was only using the blue and black ones so..............I sold the white one on Evil-bay. It's now in a new home in Laredo TX.

Hurts to let one go but 3 was overkill and it just wasn't being played. Reverse gas is just not as much fun

Set ups sound way harder than they really are,I figured it out when my first bass was a MIM Jazzbass,I had no choice to learn how because the neck was moving faster than I could send it out to be adjusted.
Its only a small turn of the truss, its not rocket science people 1/4-1/2 a turn at a time till it looks better(over the coarse of a day or so)go easy and adjust the string height accordingly when desired affect is acheived. GO SLOW,u can do it. :D
