Very nice basses! I've read so many good things about them I hope to try one (or two, or three, LOL) out some day.

All of the pictures of the VM Jazz Bass bodies looked brighter than the one in your pic. Is it just the lighting or does it have a butterscotch/ honey maple-like tint to it?

Thanks...I've been very happy with these basses.

As far as the color of the Jazz, I'd say it's a combination of the light, the actual color of the bass and the camera exposure setting used to take the picture. Most of the pictures I've seen on-line are either a little over-exposed or taken with with improper camera exposures.

The color is a little lighter (not much) but not as washed-out as I've seen in other "at home" pictures. It's a warm tint.

I was hoping the finish wouldn't be as light as some of the other pics I've seen.

Maybe I'll find one to try out at the dealer one of these days.
