I stripped down my $150 used Squier and turned it into this new bass. I put in two Fender Vintage noiseless pickups. The sound is passive but so booming and so good that I put my $800 Dean Edge Q5 ( EMG HZ pickups) active bass away in the closet.

Crazy re-fin! I like everything you've done 'cept the pickguard. It's a little too much for my tastes anyway. Good job overall.

Thanks for your input. I used up my whole summer for this project 2 1/2 months work. next summer, I will add mother-pearl design on the fingerboard and pickguard.

Nice! I really like that blue swirl. How did you do that?

Lots of hits and misses until I got the color right. The sound from Fender Vintage noiseless pickup r superbly loud and clear, much better than my other EMG Hz one.
