My CV is flawless...like a very expensive bass. My only complaint is the fumes from the neck/fingerboard lacquer gave me a headache for a couple days...until it dried. Can't wait till years from now when the frets are pulled 'cause I don't to replace them. hint for fender/squier.

Yep, agreed it's got a very expensive feel! And now I got rid of the "sicked up kebab look" pickguard and the cheap squier knobs I think it looks nice and expensive too ;-)

Let me hear you say yeah!

I received my Fender Squier 60's P bass in July of this year. I love it. Beautiful Fiesta Red, sounds incredible with boatloads of Sustain.

Maybe I'm missing something, but someone explain to me why everyone is acting like these are brand new this year when they've been out since 2008.

Because the masses just woke up to the fact they are good after having just heard about or noticed them.

Yes in fact I do live in China but the point is I wasn't shopping for a bass in 2008.

It's a new bass to me and I wanted to share my thoughts about it. That's what these forums are for. Bathead, go and find a non-Fender Bass related forum if you're not interested!

I actually played this thing the other day and am considering it as one of the possible basses I might end up getting, (even though I'm wanting a Fender). The thing plays as well as some of the high end Fenders. Fiesta Red is an awesome color too. 8)

Lighten up, I was directing my question at the OP who was asking when these would be coming to the US when they've aready been on the US market for two years. I wasn't talking to you.

They've been out since about June of 2008 according to Squier's own spec sheet on their website.

A big correction and apologies all around. Just checked Squier's archived news articles, the Fiesta Red version of the Classic Vibe P-bass was introduced in March of 2010.
Me feel stoopid.
I should know better than to rely on Squier's spec sheets.

I remember we had a discussion on it when it became available...don't feel stupid, we all forget how time flies when we're having a good time buddy!

On my last expedition to GC, I playe two of them, they're great! I was hoping to play a VM Precision, glad there wasn't one there, I probably would have bought it. Why do all the basses I like have to be tan or natural? I want re, balck, natural.

I am fighting a GAS attack.

Hey Bats, where you been hiding?
