The Fiesta Red P-Bass is now available in the Squier official product page:

http://www.squierguitars.com/products/search.php?partno=0303070540

Hope this bass will come with a matching Jazz Bass version.

I checked a few online stores and only they aren't showing these yet, probably wanting to blow out their remaining stock of blue ones first.

That really nails the Pino look, doesn't it? Put some TI flats on there and I bet the tone is motown for miles!

These are Theo Cantor's basses, he's also a member at talkbass. The relic'd one on the right is an actual CS Pino Palladino signature and the one on the left is one Theo assembled.

It's available now at MF and GC online. I'm hoping to head over to GC today to order it. :)

I played one at my local GC -- it was cool, I just can't justify buying a cheap P-bass at this point when I have nicer Fenders already. But I bet they sell everyone of these they make.

Hi guys

Great forum!

Thought I'd register just to share this with you - I just pimped my fiesta red Squier CV to a virtual Pino - CTS audio taper pots, 62RI tort pickguard, switchcraft jack, Fender 62 RI pickup and period correct knobs.

The Fender 62 pickguard fits the Squier perfectly and looks so much classier. Thanks Darren Riley!!

Here's the before and after shot:

I also got some very cool aged reverse tuners but unfortunately I couldn't get the original bushings out without damaging the laquer on the front of the headstock. It seems they were put in whist the laquer was still drying so I think I'll have to leave it at that.

My CV is flawless...like a very expensive bass. My only complaint is the fumes from the neck/fingerboard lacquer gave me a headache for a couple days...until it dried. Can't wait till years from now when the frets are pulled 'cause I don't to replace them. hint for fender/squier.
