Looking for some technical help on replacing the volume and tone pots in my Tele bass. The pots are getting scratchy and a little noisy so I'm going to replace them.

I know the stock pots are 1meg pots but are they regular CTS or Mini CTS pots? Seems i read somewhere they are minis, but I'm not sure.

Any help, guidance etc. will be appreciated.

They are minis but not CTS (I forgot whose they are). You're better off replacing the minis with full sized CTS pots due to the fact that the OEMs are already 'tired' and that the full sized ones will be much more reliable and durable. Further, the knobs won't be as loose on them either. While you're at it, you might want to replace the output jack with a Switchcraft one.

Martian:

Thank you for the help. I'm planning on taking your advice and replacing my pots with full-size CTS pots. I hope I don't have to change the route too much, but, I believe the upgrade in quality will be worth it.

I also plan on following your advice and replacing the jack with a Switchcraft jack. In fact, since I'll be taking the electronics apart, I'm planning on shielding the electronics cavity, replacing the wire with better wire and installing a parallel/serial mod that I found on another forum.

Again, thanks for the help and guidance!
