I Like lighter gauge strings myself. On my VM Jazz I have D'Addario Chromes 45-100 and on My CV Jazz I have GHS Brite Flats in their medium light gauge which is something like 44-102...

I use D'Addario ENR72 Half Rounds Medium Bass Strings on my Squier V-M 70s Jazz Bass. Warm tone, virtually no string squeak. easy on the fingers and close to original string size so the nut is happy (the one on the bass, not the one playing it!)

by mediums you meant the regulars 50-105?
i have checked the half rounds only regular light and super light are available... might as well try the regular lights too...

Same here, but that's only because that was the cheapest string available at Sweetwater where I got my VMJ. At some point soon, I plan on trying GHS precision flats, for both my Squier and my MIA Jazzes.
