I am back to playing bass guitar in a band, and have been using my old '73 Jazz that I've had since high school. I really don't like taking it to bars and stuff.

I picked up one of these Squier blue beauties cheap on the 'bay a few weeks back. I had a real '56 SCPB once upon a time, but it didn't really inspire me and it had to go to pay the rent.

Neverthless, I've been really impressed with the newer SCPBs - very punchy, and the Squier is no exception.

I did my first gig with the Squier last Saturday.....

This is an AMAZING bass!!!!!!!!!! Fat and warm to bright and spanky just by changing my right hand position. I was very impressed with the range of tones! I added chromes covers like on the 51 Pbass, and I didn't have any problems with the neon lights buzzing through the single coil pickup.

Thank you, Fender, for bringing the Squier line back up to it's former glory. Job well done. :D
