I suppose I should jump in here and add this: Image

I have a Vintage Modified Jazz Bass that I've had for a couple of years that for awhile kind of ignored because it needed some work. I finally got around to filing down the sharp fret ends (which was a pain in the arse, by the way) and tweaked the action with lighter gauge flatwounds (the regular gauge Rotosounds were a bit too stiff for this and the action a bit too high.) Now, it plays really good and it's back into action, along side my Schecter Jazz Bass. Sometimes, you have to do a little tweaking here and there and then you'll get a nice player. I'm on the fence about swapping out the bridge or not for a Bad $@! II, since I do like those bridges. Maybe, I'll leave it alone.

A little update. I did go ahead and swap out the bridge on the Squier Jazz Bass and I've been playing it along with the Schecter and it's turned out to be a decent player, although I have to say it's pick ups aren't as loud as the Schecter or the Peavey Zodiac bass in which I swapped the bridge with (it had the Bad $@! II on it.) I did notice it does have that Jazz Bass growl to it, or what ever you want to call that certain sound they have.

A couple of updated pics with the Bad $@! II bridge. I have also posted this on another thread.
