I have a Korean Squier Jazz bass, circa 1987, what is considered a vintage instrument nowadays? I modded the bass w/EMG pups and upgraded the tuners and bridge. The bass has seen constant action for the last 21 years, road warts and all!!! I picked it over all the MIA Fender Jazzes at the time,it played better, the neck was amazing, with the upgrades it was, and still is an amazing bass!

I now own 3 Squier Basses and 1 Squier Tele circa 80's and will be getting the Squier 5 stringDeluxe Jazz Soon! I also own the GL CIJ jazz.

Vintage, anything from the '70 as far as I know. Post pix on your gear! Welcome to the forums.

I actually meant, from '70s on back to the '60s and '50s.

Nice Squier bass. Though, the desirability & rarity of an instrument will dictate your request. I don't think an 80's Squier (though a nice bass) fits in the vintage market.

^^^ I agree, when someone says vintage, I always think '70s or older. Although the Squier JV was introduced in '82, and they command a price. Most MIJ (Fender or Squier) of that vintage do tho.
