Morning all. I'm guessing this is a regular question but I can't find the specifics on the first few pages so sorry for repeating if that's the case.

I'm looking to replace the bridge and tuners, for nothing more than I want black ones. Pure caprice. Anyway, I was wondering if anyone knows of any hardware that can be dropped in without drillng, reaming etc, or if anyone has the specs to help me make a choice. I could measure it myself, and will if it comes to it, but that means buying the tools and taking things apart.

Thanks in advance, it's https://shop.fender.com/es-ES/squier-electric-basses/precision-bass/vintage-modified-precision-bass-pj/0376800500.html this exact model if that helps.

I used to have that bass a year ago, and from what I remember, the tuners looked to be standard size, compared to typical models, at least with the Fender style. I'm not 100% confirmed on this, but I suspect that you could replace those with black ones that look similar sized without issue. I'm looking at my Ibanez Talman bass that I replaced the Squier with, and it looks like they have the same size and spacing of the Squier. But like I said, not 100%, since I don't have the actual bass anymore to do a side by side comparison, just what I see in the pics, and from memory. Sorry if I couldn't be more helpful than that. Maybe someone else around here will have more accurate info about this.

As for the bridge, that shouldn't be an issue. That's usually standard sizing for most basses of the Fender style. That's something I'm more positive of, since I've done that before a few times with different basses.

Tuners, here. The Hipshot HB7, about halfway down the page in the center.

Bridge, here. Gotoh 201 Hi Mass bridge - Black, top row, second column.

And something that a lot of people forget about when changing things, the string guide on the neck.
Gotoh Round String Guide - Black

Make sure to drop some photos once you've made the swap.
