I think because it's made in China from turn of the century, being made in China (like everything else nowadays) it will be relatively cheaper, yes, even cheaper than the Indonesian Squiers - which btw has gotten so much better in quality in recent years hence the Indonesian Squiers has gotten to the top of the line Squiers. Not sure about the Vibe Series tho, since it was announced, I think the VS are the top of the line for Squier Bass.

That's what I said, the Indonesian Squiers are NOT cheaper. The quality has gone up so much, they make the top of the line Squiers now. I think the new top of the line are the Vibe Series. Don't worry about the English, just try to read it slower then translate it to your native tounge - English is my 2nd language too.

Hi,
Yes, the top of the line seem to be the CV
Then under it the VM, followed by the standard, the Affinity and Bullet.

Here in Argentina now I can´t see anyone selling new Bullets, but instead I see the "California" Series. I see teles and strats.

I looked in ebay (US) and found only one California series strat that unlike the ones I see here, says "Bullet" beside the California logo, otherwise they look the same. Anyway both this one and the ones in Argentina look better than a Bullet, with a very nice finish. The Strat I heard on a demo sounds better than my Bullet.

Maybe they are importing to Argentina the ones for the Asian market, I don´t know.

I heard a couple of demos which sound pretty good. According to some ads they have basswood body. And the bridge is not string thru body but top-loading, but with three saddles (like the vintage ones). Strange.

I thought maybe it´s a factory special run and that´s why Fender doesn´t publish it in its site.

Regards,

Daniel

Can I name Jackson JS22R? I think Jackson belongs to Fender. I have one of those.

Fender only lists Squiers and Fender Japan models imported to the USA on the Fender.Com site and I've not seen the California Series Squiers in the USA. As they have some Fender Japan models that are not imported to the USA it looks like there are some Squier models that are not imported to the USA too.

Someone mentioned the Cort plant. Any instrument made there is gonna be pretty good.
