Still trying to understand the reasoning Fender/Squier doesn't offer a Jaguar/Jazzmaster/Jagmaster with 22 frets, I play a lot of "surf" and would think a 22 fret neck should be "standard".

It was a typographical error by me including the Squier VM Jaguar& Jagmaster, the Jag is TOO small for my frame, at 6'3" with long arms I'm cramped playing my Jagmaster as it is (24" scale).

Playing surf music I often find I need that 22nd fret and the Jazzmaster lacks one.

a) Get a custom 22 fret neck, e.g. from Warmoth. Or a Stratocaster.
b) The 21 fretted ones have been good enough for every surf rock band in history.
c) Quit whining, practise.

Strat is still only 21 frets.
Or do you mean a custom Strat?

It makes it a lot easier to play the last verse of "Penetration".
I'm jus' sayin'.

Nope - on current Squier Stratocasters, the Standard and the Deluxe series come with 22 frets.
(And: as an additional option, there is the almost unlimited supply of pre-owned Fender necks on various sources...).

Like I wrote, quit whining and practise

And I'll repeat this, too: (Disclaimer: This post was meant to be humorous and instructive, not offending...)
