Post subject: Help identifying this Squire Bullet 1

Hi, I could use your help identifying this guitar, I'm not sure where it country of manufacture, it's age, body wood type, etc. The machine head tuners on back show Fender and a small "G", the bridge saddles show Fender as well.

The Bullet1 on jmallard's pics seems to be a "Bullet S-3T (2nd Version)"; made in Japan 1985/86.
I see a vague shadow of a serial number on the neck plate, maybe check that: top of this page > support > product dating > Japanese instruments.
Body may be laminated or basswood, and there may be a date penciled on the joint end of the neck.

To 1973form, post pics, without them answering is near impossible.
The "G" stands for Gotoh, the "Fender" may be Fender or Fender made by Ping...
