I love the Sherwood Green 50's however it seems that the actual models being sold have a matching headstock. Why ruin a perfectly good guitar with the matching headstocks???

I agree. I don't care for the painted headstocks at all.

I sort of like painted head stocks ... Takes me back :)

That was done back in the day when you got your axe refinished in Band Colors ... We'd try to look like the Ventures or something and get our used guitars painted at the local auto-body in the evening. For a while we all had red & white matching pieces to set off against our black trousers and white jackets :D
