hi everyone - just need some help, advice or opinions on whether or not my new Classic Vibe 60th Anniversary Strat is faulty & possibly may need returning to supplier?
Purchased above mentioned guitar about 5-6 weeks ago & it seems to be suffering from neck problems, ie:- action is quite low & guitar becomes unplayable every week or so due to fret buzz on first 4 or 5 frets. Small amounts of truss rod adjustment have been made but situation seems to change every time I get guitar out of it's gig bag!!
So far the truss rod has been adjusted about 3-4 times - usually only about about an eighth of a turn is necessary & then guitar is left to settle down for a couple of days.
Very frustrating to say the least - ay this stage I'm thinking I've been supplied a "dud" or a "lemon", as this is just not normal behaviour in my opinion or experience. Purchased a Squier J Mascis Jazzmaster & a Squier Classic Vibe Tele Deluxe in the second half of last year & have had not problems whatsoever with either!!
I'm located in Australia by the way & will be ringing the Australian distributor today to discuss issue - unfortunately all the retailer seems to say is that "it will settle down" & "this is normal behaviour".
I don't think so - certainly not in my experience over the years.

To adjust neck truss rod it easy , but I don't know your experience .

You may need 24 hours between each truss nut turn . If you do not wait enough time the neck go too far . This may take few days for a good neck set up .

If truss rod adjustment move the neck ; everything is working fine IMO .

You just need to take more time :)

Thanks for the reply, but if you read my post again you'll see that this has all been tried several times. Spoke to Fender Australia who agreed that situation is not normal & at their request, guitar has been returned to them via selling dealer for appraisal & evaluation of fault.
Hopefully there will be a satisfactory outcome.....
