Does anyone on this site have this amp or any other Spider III series?

Im looking for some settings for a country, blues, and classic rock tones. If anyone could help on how to set the channel: Clean, Crunch, Metal, or Insane.

Then how would is set the: Drive, Bass, Mid, Treble, & Channel Volume.

Then how would I set the toning knobs on the guitar. I have a Squier Stratacaster. What are the differences when you adjust the knobs and what are they used for?

I'm a newbie, so any advice would be great

Hey, I have a Line 6 Guitar Port that downloads it's settings (patch) and works through the computer . Your Spider should have a similar feature check out www.line6.com. Otherwise let me know who your favorite artist is and I'll look it up. My classic rock artist is Eddie Van Halen and he sets his amp drive 7, bass 6, middle 6, treble 9, presence 9. From there it depends on what effects he uses. I've tried it on an Epiphone amp at Guitar center and backing out the bass is the only way to get his sound. It drives everyone else nuts but who cares!

I'll try and get back to you asap but this forum schedule is not too condusive for me.

Later,

I have a squier strat and a line 6 spider III 15. I found that the best way to set it is to put it on insane then set the gain to 10 the bass to 5 the mids off and treble at about eight and the channel volume all the way up.you should control the volume with the master dial.
