Post subject: can't find anything about age/worth of my squire strat

I can't find anything about it. The serial number is sn IC9 9065549
Any info would be greatly appreciated

IC: I = Indonesia, C = Cor-Tek (Cort), the serial number prefix is followed by a 2 number year so it was probably made in 1999? You could check ebay to see if you could find a similar model or just get a general idea of it's worth. Most go for around $100, more or less.

There is also a page on this forum for Squier and they might be able to give you a better idea of value or the model name. Especially if you had a picture to add. Hope that helps. :)

What kind of usefull infos can you have from a very low end guitar ?

Sure you may have fun with and learn to play guitar ,it is the most important .

Unfortunately, many don't realize that guitars are not worth more than 50% at best of their initial value upon resale...
Budget priced guitars even less..... But for some people, $200 is an expensive guitar....
They don't know or understand as to why a guitar can costs $1,000 let alone multiple thousands..
