Hi
Whats a good replacement tremo for a squier affinty strat??
would any american one fit, that uses the vintage style fitment??

You talk about the arm ? Tremolo arm or all the tremolo ?

Fender made different thread size , American arm will not fit on your Squier guitar

My first impression is: forget the whole idea.
Upgrading to a really good tremolo means you'll be spending (at least) double the guitar's worth of money. Might be wiser to upgrade to a MIM...

But if you're really fixed on this, you just have to measure everything (don't forget the body thickness), contact the sellers, compare products and be prepared to do some serious woodwork with possible grinding, drilling and milling of the metal parts, not to mention refinishing the bridge area... :wink:

(US trems don't fit, you need an "import" model - and even they come in many sizes. And remember: an Affinity trem is usable if it's set up properly.)
