The Squier in the first post is a second hand guitar...

The pic and the info on the ad (translated with google translator  ) really doesn't give much info on the authenticity, so check it out properly before you decide to buy. (In some countries people try to pass cheap Squier models for a MIJ to raise the price just 100€...)
Anyway, there's a lot of info on Japanese Fenders and Squiers in the net. Try asking the forum at http://www.squier-talk.com
In general: Fenders and Squiers made in Japan in the 80's were easily on the level of MIM's, and 350€ for one doesn't sound bad at all judged from where I live.

Prejudice at its worst - although that may be correct for Affinities and Bullets. But just go try some Classic Vibe series guitars before you make a general statement like that.

I wouldn't fret none. You might be able to buy it with no strings attached. Then that would be a whammy of a deal! The add speaks volume. But don't stick your neck out. Cross that bridge when you get to it. Good luck!

...And most of these guitar heroes have their prestige state-of-the-art Fenders modded so they don't much resemble the original.
Hendrix, Clapton, Cobain, Gilmour, SRV, Beck etc. etc. etc.

BTW, Fender has long had these entry level guitars; now it's cheaper Squiers, used to be MusicMasters and Mustangs...

Find the serial number and see if it matches the claimed date.

I'm going to have to ask you to switch to Gibson.

Well, maybe just at it moderatest ... (That OK with you, DP?).

Anyways, I find it somewhat funny, somewhat sad, that often in this forum a guitar is judged by its name tag (or price tag), not by its qualities.
(And: that attitude comes from many posters I regard very high in their other contributions.)

But, as usually, this "GoodFender, BadSquier" is an endless quarrel. On my part it stops here.

Generally when they put good parts in them they are perfectly fine instruments. There are good squiers and bad squiers.
