Hi guys, just wondering if this will fit my Affinity Strat :?:

It was made in Indonesia in 2008 and is the black one.

Thanks for any help!

PD: I know the neck probably is more expensive than the guitar itself but I really like my guitar and I want to change from rosewood to maple.

A new neck will change the tone , will you like it ? Not only because you go from rosewood to maple but the wood itself . All maple don't have same tone, sustain .....

Better to sell your guitar an buy one with a maple neck wich you can test before .

Dude, I can't do that! Is my first guitar! Hahaha... I'll take the risk of changing its tone!

I'm just concern about the fact that i will buy it and it won't work! :?

I think the affinity strat neck is slightly wider at its base. I'm not convinced of that because I pulled the affinity neck off the body. Refinished the body and put the MIM neck on and there was more wiggle room with the MIM neck. Screw holes lined up fine and it could have been over zealous sanding on my part...

It came out fine so I'd certainly give it a go. You can always pick up a new body.

Thing is tho that I would replace that guitar before modifying it. It will feel completely different with a new neck and will likely sound different going from rosewood to maple.

It will probably fit, but I'd rather save some more pennies and get a nice MIM Standard Strat or even a higher-end Squier (Deluxe, CV, VM).
