Hi everyone,
I have a Squier mini strat, and machine heads came with the guitar are complete junk.

It's been good as a bed room practice guitar, and I'd like to put better machine heads.

My question is that if regular 6R inline machine heads you see on eBay or other online store fit on my mini strat without modification. Or do I have to make holes bigger?

Do they sell smaller machine heads?

Please advise.

Take care,
Hono

I am not sure of the hole size, but what I did was put my American Jazzmaster vintage tuners on my MINI strat and just used the original peg hole spacer from the MINI strat tuners. I drilled the peghole spacer out to accommodate the vintage tuner shaft better. That way I didn't have to make bigger or reduce the peghole diameter.

Thank you! I will let you know how it goes.
