Hi everyone!
So far, I've only been playing with my acoustic guitar, I've never touched an electric! But I'm starting to consider into buying one....

I only know how to play chords and some tabs, so this is why I don't want an expensive guitar, I want something around 100-130 Euros!
And do you think that it will be easy for me to learn some new cool tricks on the electric? Because I don't want to buy a guitar (even a cheap one in this case) that will be standing in the corner of my room doing nothing!

Since I'm a Fender freak, I want it to be a Squier!! So any suggestions would be really appreciated!

thanks!

Here in Miami you can get Squiers starting at $100. (I don't know how much that is in Euro's) There are also some great deals on used guitars at music stores and pawn shops if you know what you are looking for and don't get a guitar that is cracked.

But unless you are planning a vacation here the only other option is the web sites for Musician's Friend or Sam Ash and a couple other discount stores on the net.

Just remember that what starts out as cheap can become expensive if you get hooked and want to upgrade parts. There are many models to choose from so think it through and try to get the best for your money.

As far as easy to learn it should be about the same as your acoustic but probably more fun if you get into effects. It all depends on the music you like to play. You will probably end up switching from one guitar to another so it won't sit around unplayed. Another plus is that you can get a headphone amp and play all night without bothering anyone. Acoustics can get pretty loud at 3 o'clock in the morning.

If you have some Euro's left over consider an effects board that can hook up to your computer for some online lessons or recording abilities. Otherwise get a good book on your favorite guitar player with a CD to play along with.

Best of luck with your shopping and if you need directions around Miami let me know.

Squier Jagmaster or Squier Standard Telecaster. I'd highly suggest those cause I think you cannot go wrong with either one...

I'm a fairly new player, and I bought a Squier Standard Stratocaster in candy apple red. I've had a couple of more experienced players try it out, and they've been very impressed with the tone and the workmanship. Mine cost $199 through worldmusicsupply.com--I love it!

I would buy a Squier Affinity Tele if you want a very low budget guitar. I own one, and I personally believe that this guitar ( which I got for $170, about 108 euros) is the best value guitar out there.[/b]

The Squier Strat works really good for me...is gently whit your hands, don't have a complicadet electric sistem, and her sound isn't too agresive or too simple, i play the guitar for almost 5 years...but when i started didn't have much money so i get one of these and believe me was a good start

oh btw, by 90% I'm getting the Squier Bullet Strat this September!
do you know if the wire which connects to the amp is included?

If you are buying one of Squier's "Stop Dreaming, Start Playing" all-in-one kits, then the cable will come with the guitar. If you are just buying the guitar on its own, then you will need to buy the cable separately. Any standard instrument cable will do, and they're not expensive.

Well, I went to my local music store the other day and I tried one, I liked it a lot! (even thought I didn't know what I was playing :P )

It's so unfair, in US you can find the Bullet with $100 and here in Greece I will have to pay 135 Euros! ($208  )

Anyway, I think I'll stick to the Bullet Strat and I'll probably replace the pickups later on...

Or should I save more money (my limit is 200 Euros) to buy an Affinity one? Does it have a BIG quality difference to the Bullet?

I will get one for sure on September, and I don't want to have any second thoughts about it, so bare with me! :)

hey wild rose.

I have the squier bullet, it's a good guitar if set up properly.

the affinity is a fifty dollar difference (u.s.) and it's just a little more quality, not much. either way, the pickups suck :) anything below a standard squier has crappy pickups. (thin sounding). my friend has an affinity, i personally think mine is better, but i haven't played his in a while.

If you do get the bullet, get one in white or sunburst. classiest colors on this guitar. later on you might want an amp. if you're really low on money then get a mini amp. Marshall ms-2 is cheap and also good.

thanks hendrixfan99!
I have an amp, Spider III 30! (Line 6) I know it's not great, but I don't want to spend extra money. It has 4 channels and effects, so I guess it will make the work done!
Well I'm gonna buy the Bullet one and since I'm a newbie in the electric guitar playing, I probably won't mind the crappy pickups :P I will replace them after 5-6 months!
But I was thinking in getting the black color with white pickguard!
