Hi,

I've purchse for my son a squier IOS connectivity but i have some problems with it :
- I would like to use it with an ipod 5th under IOS 7 with garageband or ampliTube free, the guitar is not recognized like and audio input device (i use a little lightning 30-pins cable adapter). The garageBan settting input menu isn't highlight
- I've tried to use it with my iphone 3GS under IOS 6.1.3 with amplitube free but the result is the same (yet this guitar is Core Audio Compliant)
- I've tried to use it on my PC windows 7 with Amplitube. I 've installed the ASIO fender driver and it's OK
- I've tried to upgrade the guitar firmware (to 1.1.27) with fender firmware updater. I start my PC, i launch the updater, i plug my guitar on USB, after a short time the guitar is recognized with firmware 1.0. If i click on "UPdate firmware" button i have the "Confirm device is connected" message but i don't know how to confirm. After the guitar isn't recognized i need to restart my computer. The second time i select "automatically start" and upgrade starts and i have the successfull message. I restart a third time my computer i launch the updater, i plug my guitar on USB, after a short time the guitar is recognized with firmware 1.0 !!! is it normal ????

PLease help me, if somebody can explain me how this device works with ios and windows

Best regards

Manuel

Hi manu29,

Our apologies for the long delay in replying to you. I wanted to reach out and see if you had gotten a resolution to the firmware updating issue you had with your Squier® Strat® USB Guitar? If so, great. If not, please feel free to contact us and ask for me in the Tech Support Lab. I will be happy to assist. From the information you have included, it sounds like you may need a replacement cable. Please let me know if I can help. Thanks much.

Best Regards,

Alan
