Hi all,

New to forum and new to guitars. Just bought a Squier mod 70s strat; what are the two allen wrenches and spring that come with the guitar for?

Thanks!

The spring goes in the tremolo hole when you screw that in.

The small allen wrench is for the saddles. The big allen wrench is to adjust the truss rod. Make sure you keep that one. Truss rods are notorious for being easy to strip with the wrong size wrench.

Thanks, DP. Can anyone tell me how to install the spring with the tremolo bar? The guitar came with absolutely no documentation whatsoever.

Thanks

You don't have to. You would use it to either replace a broken spring, or to add an extra spring if you want extra stiffness on the vibrato bar.

To install, remove the back plate in the middle of the back, and hook the spring in place.
A pair of needlenose pliers with a smooth jaw might be useful.

No, guitars don't usually come with instructions. You can find some information on Fender's site.
