Hello!

I hope this is in the right forums. Hoping you guys can help me and a friend out. We've decided to modify/upgrade his Vintage modified Telecaster Thinline, and were moments from placing an order for a replacement neck (he really digs the CBS headstock on a maple fretboard) and realised that fender officially state that the guitar is a 24.75" scale neck!

So our question is, does anyone have any experience with putting a 25.5" scale neck onto a 24.75" body? What would need to be adjusted?

It seems almost impossible to find a 24.75" scale maple neck (especially here in UK/Ireland) - So does anyone have any advice at all?

There are guys on here that can tell you that, but I doubt if they visit this section. I don't think you can do the switch, so check first. Try the Lounge Forum.

A simple answer: the bridge must be positioned in relation to the longer 25.5" scale.
