THe specs say that the nut is synthetic bone
Is it plastic?
I suspect so

I went from 009 to 010 and it seems like it cant handle bends very well
It definitely couldn't handle me playing on 009 gauge either

Is it like the graph tech nuts?
Has anyone replaced their nut with a graph tech nut?

Synthetic Bone, is more of a hardened "resin" type poured cast. So it is much harder than your typical plastic.

I've played both 9's and 10's on mine....do a lot of bending on the top four frets too....and never had any trouble.

I'm am not familiar with the Graph Tech nut.
