Hello all,

I just came into a Squier Bullet, seriel #SI040800367. I've gathered it's a 2004 Samick. It's got the cheap as heck thin slab ply body and electronics, and tuners. What's left, one might ask? It actually doesn't sound too bad, and the neck on it is remarkably nice. I mean, I really dig it. It's well constructed evidenced by the low action I've achieved, and the very nicely finished medium frets on it. The most interesting thing about it might be that it has a big ole slab board on it. I'm going to get some pics up here at some point, but take my word that it has the thickest slab I've seen. I have a 1965 Duo Sonic with a slab board on it and that one isn't quite as think as this Squier's. Has anyone heard of or know that some of these Korean Squiers have slab board necks??? I never knew of such a thing.

Thanks for any feedback!!!

Bob

Here is a photo of the fret board, along with more of the guitar:

Is that fret board some kind of laminate?
