Post subject: Two questions about strat bridge

So i got my first electric guitar and theres two things i cant figure out.

1) My bridge is lifted,is that a problem?
2) Those screws move the thing that hold the wire bout how does that affect anything?

Just really surprised nobody has commented on his A string intonation screw being stuck and requiring a gentle tap to get it back flush with the backplate

ha i didnt notice the A string saddle at first. an yes the gap is about normal looking, that link above should mention that, pretty good support from fender.
