I have a chinese strat from 1995 (YN509439) which I like, but I am looking to buy a second guitar.

How do I know which of the current models is most similar to my guitar?

Specifically I am looking at the Vintage Modified '70s series, but I keep seeing descriptions of the neck as 'chunky'.

The spec of the guitar I'm looking at is: 9.5”-radius Fingerboard, but where is this measured from?

Cheers

Charco

I'm no expert but the fretboard radius is the measure of the curvature of the fretboard. It is in fact a radius of a big imaginary circle of which your curved fretboard is part of. The higher the value, the flatter the curve is. But why don't you check up on wikipedia? That's where I understood this concept. :)

Just go down to your LGS and play a bunch of them. Your going to find one that is what your looking for and that's the one you take home.
