Does anybody know if the Squier Affinity Telecaster (Brown Sunburst) is available to purchase on it's own or is it only available as part of the Tele Pack?

This is the Tele I've been looking for, sunburst finish w/ a black pickguard, but really would rather not(but will if I hafta to get this Tele) buy the amp.

If you look on SUPPORT right upper side here and click on Fender Librairy you 'll see all catalog .

I did not see the Squier you looking for without the amp .

Better to buy the Classic Vibes Series, the telecaster you want . Same price but no amp and they are a very good guitar.

I try one and I was very surprise and I have only high end guitars , Fender and Gibson.

There's no reason why you can't buy it separately . Go to www.musiciansfriend.com .

Yeah, I saw that Fender released more models/finishes(incl. Brown Sunburst) of their Squier Affinity Tele. I found it @ mf & sweetwater, waitin' for it to come in-stock. Soo happy that I can buy it w/o having to buy the pack.

Now you can buy one with either a Rosewood or maple fretboard, which is something you couldn't do before as far as the Affinity Teles were concerned.

10-4. Now I'm more confused though, should I get Maple or Rosewood?
I see Pro's like Brad Paisley & Keith Urban playin' Tele's w/ Maple necks.

Kinda like the look of the Maple neck, it's all 1 color(& just looks better in my opinion) whereas the Rosewood neck is 1 color & the headstock is another. I'm prob'ly puttin' too much focus on a cosmetic issue but hey, it's gotta look good.
Plus, I looked around & noticed that the majority of the higher-end Fenders are Maple necks.

Sweetwater has a Fender sale today & can get the Pack for $225 & I'm right on the verge of pullin' the trigger & just try & sell the amp later.

My reasoning:
The Affinity(w/ the Rosewood) buy itself is $179 & the black Fender pickguard I want(to make it look like the guitar in the Pack) is $25, that comes out to about $205. For an extra $20 I can get the pack & maybe recoup that $20(or more) by selling off the amp.
Does this sound like a reasonable plan or is it just in my head  ?
Would really like y'all's input.

Thanks,

Just got some great news!

Just got off the phone with my Sweetwater Sales Tech & he said he could special order a Brown Sunburst Affinity Tele with a Maple Fretboard(like the one in the pack) & the standard price($179) would stay. I'd hafta change out the white 'guard myself, not a problem(prob'ly won't do it right away).

Am soo relieved that he can special order the Tele I want & I don't hafta buy the Pack, was already dreadin' tryin' to sell off that amp.

Not much more.

Or, the Squier Standard tele in antique burst -

Or this Fender Modern Player tele, a little more -

Or, as suggested above -

All of these options are really nice.

Here is a picture of the Squier Classic Vibe Telecaster Custom that has been beefed up. Notice that they have white binding all around the edge of the top. That's a nice feature and these are awesome guitars, stock. They have beautiful grain patterns and sunburst finishes.

These other guitars might have a lot more bang for the buck. Also, rosewood fretboard are really nice and preferred by many top pro's and casual players. The fretboard type is a personal preference. I have both type on tele's and like them both.

Everything is your choice, needless to say, I just put up these pictures so you can see what a little more money can buy. Some of those guitars are only a few dollars more.

Here is a picture of the double cream binding on the body of the Squier Classic Vibe Custom telecaster. You are talking about an affinity, I know, but this CV Custom tele is a beautiful sunburst that it is possible you might be interesting in seeing, if you haven't already checked them out. They cost more than the affinity, of course.

Yeah Duffy, I've looked at those but am on a budget & really don't wanna throw down $200+ on a guitar. I'm a recreational "player" so I can't really justify(believe me, I've tried lol) spendin' that kinda cash. Those are definitely some nice guitars though.

FYI-If I could afford it, I'd go with the Fender Modern Player Tele. Sharp lookin' guitar!

Thanks for the info(& pic), Duffy.
Wow, that is beefed up, very nice.

I'm still in my learning/novice phase of my guitar life so I don't wanna focus too much on "bang" & get too technical. Buyin' a guitar that has a lot off beef at this early stage (in my opinion)would be like buying a Rolex for a baby, he wouldn't really appreciate the quality. Hope that makes sense.

I've done some research on the Rosewood vs Maple fretboard & it really does seem to be just personal preference. I'm goin' w/ Maple cause that' what I see my favorite 2 Country "Tele Masters" Brad Paisley & Keith Urban playin'. Plus I think the overall look of it is better, my opinion.

'ppreciate the pics.

Yeah the CV is nice lookin' but that cream binding is kinda a turn-off for me. I know it prob'ly adds to the "Classic" look but to me it takes away, still a pretty sharp lookin' Tele though. To each his own.

To each their own, I always say. The affinity telecasters are really great sounding guitars for the price ,but the only thing I don't like about mine is the fact that the top load bridge has that 6 saddle design which can make restringing a bit difficult. That's why I have a new Vintage style top load bridge w/ 3 Barrel saddles on order along with a Greasebucket Tele tone kit as well. I got both of these items on E-Bay for only $16.00 which is IMO, worth the price to upgrade the guitar rather than go and spend $3-$400.00 for a new Tele.
