So I decided to tear into my squire to make it play and sound much better. I will post pics when its all done, but there wont be much stock anyhow lol. I liked the fact that as far as I can tell the body is actually a solid chunk of alder. My main question, is that I found an insert set on ebay for the neck screws so that they are easily removable. I just want to know if it is a worthwhile $25 to spend or if I should put it towards something else.

If your original holes aren't stripped out, don't worry about it. Just be sure to wax the screws to make them easier to reinstall.

We would be glad if you post a video showing your Strat in action.

Another question I had is about the trem. I bought a new brass block for what was supposed to be an import strat. I the trem arm hole is not lined up perfectly(up a little to high). Do I maybe have a squire that has some slightly higher end components? I will post pics when i get home of what I have although it has been mostly disassembled. Would it be possible to fit and American bridge on my guitar? By the time I'm done i really could have just bought a MIM strat, but I have an insatiable love of customizing everything I own lol.
