Post subject: Squier Tele hum or static sound

I just bought a72 modified thin line semi hollow. I get a static sound when i rub the pick guard with my finger. I really love this guitar but the occasional static sound makes me wince. Please help,

Put a Bounce Static Sheet under the pickguard.

Seems logical since they are anti-static sheets. plus my tele smells april fresh!

Ok actually I haven't done this yet because I want to get SOME play out of the new strings I put on. Had my guitar a total of 5 days and just not ready to do work on it. I'm Havin' TOO much FUN![/quote]
