Update: I decided to take my Classic 50's Vibe Strat in to my local shop for proper setup, as I have been working crazy hours and have not had the time nor focus to make the adjustments myself. Everything is perfect on it now. New Slinky's, nut adjustment, action and intonation adjustment, and best of all, the trem is nearly flush against the body. No more pulling sharp notes and it stays in tune better than ever. I have a great guitar now and can't wait to pick it up to play!

Thanks everyone for your help.

Thats good news, i didn't think it would be much more than a good setup needed to make it a player, i'm glad you got it sorted :)

Yeah me too. No more pulling notes sharp, and it is staying in tune for the most part (allowing for the new strings to settle of course).

I guess I didn't need the locking tuners after all, and I appreciate the help here steering me in the right direction. :D :D :D

Good call! They are pretty decent tuners, way better than my old Affinity Strat.

yeah they are pretty decent in comparison, but the affinity is an entry level axe after all
