I have played (without an amp) a squier standard (or deluxe...?) Olympic white w/maple fretboard (btw, that's my dream color) and it played sooo well... now i have my eyes set on this as my second electric guitar

I own a Master series M80 setneck that is simply awesome. Two Duncan Designed humbuckers that really provide all the verstatility you would ever need. I can play everything from my favorite blues-rock all the way to a little metal on this baby.

The master series was one of the greatest things Squier ever put out.

Currently, IMHO the Squire 50's Classic Vibe telecaster is the best Squire being made. Just MHO, mind you.

Stagemaster. Liked my Strat till I played this one. Neck feels better and has 2 extra frets. Even though I'm playing twice as much I'm loosing the callouses on my fingers and the Strat starts to hurt after awhile. Like the sound better too. Heard that the pickups used are better than the stock ones that go into the Squier Strats but mine were upgraded before I bought it so can't say for sure. Doesn't have a pickguard so the pups are screwed right into the body and that seems to give it a different sound.

Eventually I plan to upgrade the pups again and put these ones in my Strat, but the Stagemaster will remain my Number One.

i don't know why people say that Squiers suck; they only say that because they've never had one. I have a used standard strat and only one problem occurred and it was my fault I didn't notice that only two springs were in the back. After I put the spring in, put new strings on it and fixed the intonation the thing sounded like a beast. But I deffinatly agree that the deluxe series is prob. the best out right now

I went out today with the itch to buy a Tele, and after trying several MIM and Squier models, ended up buying a Squier Vintage Mod S-H. I haven't had a chance to really sit down and play it yet, but in the store, I thought it felt and sounded as good, if not better than some of the higher end models. I also really love the red metal flake finish on it. I don't think I've ever seen that colour on a Tele before, and it looks great.

Only because I own one of each, I'll say: 1) Standard Fat Telecaster; 2) Bullet Special. For the Fat Tele, I've got GFS Pro Tube Lipsticks to try in it, which should yield a Danelectro-style tone, while retaining the Tele twang. For the Bullet Special, I've got a TV Jones Power`Tron, which should bring it up to the level of my Fender So Cal Speed Shop Strat, and Fender FSR Straight Six Stratocaster. My Fat Tele is somewhat of a rarity, in that the body is Sherwood Green Metallic, which is a color that hasn't been offered for quite some time, on this model.

Matt

The new Classic Vibe series is killer The store I shop at has them all. I kinda like the tele the best but the 50's strat is awesome too.

Well, I've been a proud owner of one of the new deluxes for almost a month now, and I am so impressed! Easily the nicest squier I've ever played, and leaps and bounds nicer than the Mexican Fender strats I've played!

I have both a standard fat Tele and an Esprit. The are both wonderful guitars and neither of them cost me more than $150. Once I set them up properly they really came to life.

My cousin was a knocker of Squiers, but once he played mine he was singing a different tune.

That Esprit is a nice guitar - cousin to my M80...I love that Master series. Very underappreciated.
