It's coming! It's on the FedEx truck. The mate for my CV 60's MetRed. The agony of the wait and the fact that I am FORCED to have to work today.

Okay, it's here. It's a work of art for a Squier. Paint work is flawless. Neck is fantastic. Fretwork is superb. It was setup well and in tune. Sadly the trem arm was nowhere in the box to be found. That's a minor issue as I don't use a lot of vibrato when I practice but it's the whole "Complete package and asthetics" thing. Pic's soon. :D :D :D :D :D

Congrats on the new guitar! Sounds great. Like the CV 50's. :)

Sure the trem handle isn't taped to the inside of the box? They do that sometimes.

I love my CV 60's and the Met Red color is awesome. I'll post some pic's of the sisters later. I recommend getting a CV 60's for sure.

Squier really are picking up the quality these days. The fretwork on my VM 70's is flawless. Frets were always an issue for me in the past with Squiers.

The wheel of karma for my past deeds has rolled over me tonight and crushed me! I got home. Removed the back plate. Adjusted things how I like them. Flipped my beauty over and removed the strings. Removed all the plastic. Cleaned everything. Restrung it. Arriving at the tuning phase of things proceeded to drop my TU-8 light weight plastic body tuner onto the body of my beauty and WHAM! A ding that is more visible than the great wall of china is from space! My eyes are now drawn directly to it every time I look at it. So clumsy am I! I'm sure I will stop lamenting over it after a couple of days but right now I am just disgusted. To me it's like driving a new Porsche off the lot and rock skittering across the hood and starring the windshield. Tomorrow will be another day and there are more things important in life.

As far as the quality goes, I think this one surpasses my CV 60's. The fretwork is better and the feel of the neck is better. Both guitars by far exceed the MIM Blacktop Strat I had for a couple of months and sold because Squier quality was just better. I especially like the vintage tuners and overall look and feel. I side with "ZZ" on the idea of the period correct neck shape but I am definetly not complaining. It's feels great. No buzz. I prefer maple fretboards over rosewood and this one is an exceptional looking piece of wood.

No way thats a bummer man, at least it doesnt affect the playability. And eventually it will just be part of roadworn look :D. I get what you say about the neck, but why worry about the minor details?

Play it to death, then when you get to hell create more flames haha
