Do the CV 50's Squiers have different types of pickups?

Someone told me that the white model has a different type of pickup than the butterscotch. I'd like to know if that is true and what the differences between the pickups are.

Thanks

The butterscotch blonde has alnico 5's and the vintage blonde has alnico III's. I've only played the III's, so I can't provide a comparison. Maybe someone else can.

The V's would be a hotter pickup and the III's would be more vintage. I prefer the vintage (as a 50's tele should be IMHO).

The butterscotch blonde w/Alnico V pups is really Twangy.....think 1960's Buck Owens/ Don Rich. At least mine sounds this way. This is with 10's on it.
