JV? Jimmy Vaughn?

There is not a single identifying mark on that body and neck to make any determination of what it might be.

Jimmy Vaugh series are mim and had the modern truss rod adjustment in the headstock and not the heal, along with a decal signature on the headstock.

Is the OP's guitar real or Memorex?

Agree. There are no markings on the body at all. The pencil date on the neck heel is meaningless. Probably an aftermarket body with a Fender bridge and neck of unknown origin.

Like I said, no useful identifying marks.

So, Mikkas, what are you going to do?
Take it to a local shop to get a hands on evaluation?
Toppscore :)

Some maybe a little more useful pics (from a previous owner) on this link:
https://www.dropbox.com/gallery/31014128/1/JV%20Squier?h=60b785
and please, dont copy them to the forum 8)

JV stands for Japanese (or Japan) Vintage, not Jimmy Vaughan.

I'd say that's the real Andy (McCoy, google him if ya don't know) but I don't consider myself an expert on the subject.

Well, still no useful identifying marks on the body but the headstock shot shows that the neck at the very least is probably real. Not sure what the saddles on a Japanese Squier should say: Fender or Squier or blank. Could be real, could be a partscaster.
