Will a Fender trem arm spring work in a Squier CV 60's Strat trem? It kind of annoys me that it just swings free and I don't want to over tighten it and strip it out. Thanks in advance.

Same thing on a couple of my guitars.
Wonder if arm strings and tremolo systems are interchangable.

Yeah. Would be even nicer if someone with some knowledge on this topic would make a reply. I have only owned 1 MIM Strat and it didn't have a spring in the trem. I have had 7 other squiers, 5 of them Strats and would be nice to know about. The 2 I have at home now are like the rest. Danglers!

Good to know. Never gave it a thought before this thread.
Just, kinda let'em swing or not install the arm at all.

Hope you haven't spent money on a tremolo arm spring. No they do not work. There is a hole in the back of the tremolo and the spring slips right through. Back when I owned one I tried it.

Yeah, I used a fiber-optic cam thingy to look. On to the next best experiment, teflon tape. Just have to keep a roll in my case and keep it clean.

To me, until this thread, I just felt dangling was part of the act
But, I have a couple and I am going to double check and address the issue.
See if the cure is worth the medicine.
So far, no harm ~ no foul
